The Ballroom at Baird’s Tavern is furnished with Colonial American items and artifacts.

Often used for rotating exhibits featuring items from the WHS’s vast collection, the room is decorated to depict bygone eras and present a glimpse into Warwick’s past, telling the stories of the people and circumstances which helped shape the town.

  • Curated Featured Exhibits

The WHS’s talented Collections department carefully curates numerous exhibits annually. This antique quilt and coverlet show was displayed in the OSBMH, and featured exquisite designs and pieces dating from the mid 1700’s.

  • New Acquisitions

The Archives and Collections departments are always thrilled by donations of items, photographs, maps, personal mementos and important family heirlooms that help fill in the blanks of Warwick’s history. Helping people make connections to their past is a motivating and rewarding part of our mission.

  • Clothing and Textiles

With 2000 items of clothing and textiles, generations of fashion and accessories are preserved in the Clothing and Textiles department representing styles and design from as early as 1790. Follow the WHS’s Instagram account to enjoy “Vintage Fashion Fridays,” a photo display of items through the years.
