The Archive Department at the WHS is bursting with information and knowledge that dates back to the earliest recorded days of Warwick. The important responsibility of receiving, and then properly documenting the personal notes, deeds, photographs, records, transcribing documents, and preserving primary resource knowledge is a great honor and privilege. This broad collection is an important body of work available by appointment for assistance and research.

Donations to the Collection

Residents of Warwick and their descendants often donate items and artifacts found in their attics and basements, or collected by individuals with an affinity for the history of Warwick. These important donations are gifts to the WHS and the community, used to further our understanding of local history, and displayed for education and edification.

Documents, Photos, Deeds

Housing thousands of items, the WHS Archives Department has the important responsibility to document the materials in our care and provide a trusted resource for authentic, accurate information.

Warwick’s Evolution

Maps of the Warwick Valley provide important documentation of changes in border lines, property ownership, growth in the community, and the development of roadways and thoroughfares through the years.
