Warwick, NY (WHS) – Discover the fascinating lives of the people who dedicated themselves to the good of the Warwick Community. Join guide Ivy Tulin on Thursday, May 25 at 4pm for our “Deadicated People” Walking Tour of the Warwick Cemetery. This 1-hour tour will begin with the dedication of the Warwick Cemetery Association’s Cremation Garden and will then wind through Warwick’s past focusing on people such as “Bloomer Girl,” Dr. Lydia Sayer Hasbrouck and 18 year old World War I Veteran Robert P. Benedict.
Founded in 1906, the Warwick Historical Society’s mission has been to preserve and celebrate the vibrant history of the Town of Warwick and its people, and engage our communities through a variety of programs aimed at developing an understanding and appreciation of our unique historic heritage. The Society is a private non-profit organization that received no tax money and relies solely on the support of its members.
